OpenAI and Stack Overflow have entered into a new partnership to integrate Stack Overflow's technical content with OpenAI's AI assistant, ChatGPT.

The announcement has faced resistance from some Stack Overflow users who are unhappy with the use of their content for AI model training.

Stack Overflow, a platform for software developers to share and resolve coding queries, will use its OverflowAPI product to enhance OpenAI's AI models with community-generated content.

OpenAI will integrate verified Stack Overflow information into ChatGPT, allowing users to access accurate and complex knowledge and code.

In return, OpenAI plans to provide attribution to the Stack Overflow community within ChatGPT, but how the company will do that exactly is unclear.
