The Federal government plans to develop a stronger cyber security strategy with six "cyber shields" to protect against attacks. Home Affairs Minister Clare O'Neil revealed this structure at an AFR Cyber Summit.

The shields will be built to create a cohesive and well-planned national response for a safer Australia. The first shield aims to raise awareness among citizens and businesses so that they realize they have the power to protect themselves.

More information on these shields will be provided when the cyber security strategy is released later this year.
