After a major cyber attack released the private information of around 10 million Medibank customers, the health insurance giant enlisted Deloitte to conduct an external review into the incident.

Despite receiving their findings and intending to implement all recommendations, Medibank has decided against revealing any details due to security risks posed not only towards themselves but other Australian businesses as well.

Medibank spokeswoman told AAP "it would be irresponsible" on their part “to publicly release findings given potential threats".

Shareholders and customers alike had responded with class action suits - a clear demonstration of how seriously those affected take any breach in privacy.
