Cybersecurity experts have uncovered a stealthy mobile spyware application named LianSpy, specifically targeting Russian Android smartphones.

Operating behind the scenes, it manages to steal confidential data and monitor user activities. This nefarious app becomes active only after users unknowingly grant it permissions disguised as system applications or financial services.

Discovered in March 2024, the spyware has been secretly active for at least three years.

Cybersecurity specialists warn that while LianSpy currently targets Russian users, its data tracking methods can potentially be used in other regions. Android users worldwide should stay alert.
