Telstra buys Versent for $267.5 million to boost digital services

Telstra expects the acquisition to contribute to the growth of its Telstra Purple business services, increase NAS growth, and facilitate digitisation in the Australian industry.

Telstra is investing $267.5 million to add AWS services capabilities to its Telstra Purple business through the acquisition of Versent. 

Telstra believes this acquisition will significantly boost its Telstra Purple business services, drive Network Applications and Services (NAS) growth, and support the digitisation of businesses and Australian industry. 

Versent, with a team of over 500 staff, recorded net revenue of $130 million in the 2023 financial year. The transaction is expected to be completed within six weeks.
